Time to Gather

It's been a rough few years. Even now, many people with heightened risk factors avoid

crowded in-person gatherings. But we miss the human interaction that sustains our work. It's time to gather again. Some will choose to wear a mask, others are ready to go bare-faced. All will be welcomed.

After a pandemic pause, RAICA will once

again hold an in-person Summit on May 7, at Temple B'rith Kodesh, to bring together Rochester area faith communities for an afternoon of study and inspiration to advance bold climate action. Beginning at 12:30 pm with opportunities to browse informational tables, people of faith from all over the Rochester region will gather to be spiritually inspired and motivated by local experts in sustainability.

How can your House of Worship take advantage of generous rebates and incentives to make your facilities more energy efficient and affordable? Is solar right for our church? Can our temple or mosque afford a geothermal system? How can we pay for energy audits and retrofits?

How can we transform our lawns and gardens to reflect respect for the created world?

Where can we find support for doing this work? How can we learn from others? What's happening in our communities?

How can we be advocates for change? Workers for climate justice?

This summit will focus on providing skills and information to make faith communities leaders in sustainability and participants will leave energized and with a renewed sense of purpose and direction. Don't miss it! Register at https://www.raica.net/events
