Global Climate Strike Trees, One Year Later

One year ago, we held a tree planting walk in support of the Student Global Climate Strike. Broccolo Tree and Lawn company helped choose and plant hardy native trees to add diversity to campuses representing four faith traditions. Here is how they're doing.

Paw paw tree at the

Islamic Center.

Sweet gum tree at

McQuaid Jesuit High School

Yellow wood tree at

Temple Brith Kodesh

Fringe tree at

12 Corners Presbyterian Church

No repeat this year due to the pandemic. Although trees are needed to combat climate change, growing a tree is a pretty slow process, and we are in a hurry (to put it mildly) to curb carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. So if you can, plant a tree but don't stop there!
